Regine Amos, LMSW

Psychotherapist

Hi, I’m Regine Amos; a licensed social worker with roots in the Bronx and upbringing in upstate NY. My journey led me to Atlanta for college, where I quickly discovered the joy of escaping COLD snowy winters! My experiences have shaped my deep appreciation for individuality, community, and storytelling—values that guide my work as a therapist. I strive to create a collaborative, supportive space where you can explore your unique journey and build a life that feels authentic and fulfilling. I specialize in supporting BIPOC individuals, corporate professionals, and members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Many of my clients are high achievers who excel in their pursuits but wrestle with self-doubt, imposter syndrome, or the pressures of life transitions. I also work with couples to enhance connection, communication, and understanding including those in ethically non-monogamous or multi-partner relationships. My approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and grounded in cultural humility and social justice.

  • I use tools tailored to your specific needs, focusing on uncovering and amplifying your strengths. Together, we’ll work to navigate challenges like anxiety, depression, and relational struggles, helping you gain clarity and confidence to reconnect with your authentic self. In our sessions, you’ll find an inclusive environment where you can express yourself freely. Whether you’re navigating personal growth, exploring your identity, or seeking greater alignment in your relationships, my goal is to empower you to define your needs, cultivate self-compassion, and create the life you envision. Therapy isn’t about perfection—it’s about showing up as you are and embracing the transformative journey of healing and self-discovery. Outside the therapy room, I love to sing & dance, attend concerts and spend time with my community! Let’s work together to uncover your strengths and build a life that feels connected, intentional, and uniquely yours.

Nina Quiñones, MSW, LCSW

Psychotherapist

Born in NYC, raised in Houston, TX, and educated in the Midwest, I have learned to appreciate the benefits of both big-city living and more calm, small-town experiences. The meaningful relationships I made in these regions over the years contribute to my appreciation of differing cultural experiences and unique, personal value systems. I approach my work in therapy with a trauma-informed, person-focused, eclectic perspective.

This means that I use a variety of tools and techniques in therapy, curated to support each client’s needs in the moment. My focus areas for therapy include: relationship issues, trauma, life transitions, grief, mindfulness & meditation, depression, anxiety, societal oppression, sexual orientation, and gender identity.

  • I received BA degrees in Psychology and Ethnic Studies from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and my Master of Social Work degree (concentration in Mental Health & Substance Abuse) from The Ohio State University. I find powerful the connection of the mind, body, and spirit, and use exercises from time to time to work towards integrating these systems of our whole being. My previous work as a disability services professional in higher education has expanded my understanding of what it means to be and feel included in this world. I look forward to supporting individuals and couples on their journey to live lives that align with their values and desired outcomes. Our past experiences may continue to be a part of us, but it is my hope that our work together will empower you to be your own unique person, flaws and all. I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) in my work with couples, which brings to light the patterns that arise in times of conflict with our partner, and how these interactions make us feel. We will use our awareness of these patterns to prevent or minimize future conflict, and instead form meaningful bonds through shared efforts toward understanding.

In my free time, I enjoy making memories with my sweet baby niece, practicing yoga, and exploring the city and nature vibes we are fortunate to have here in Atlanta. I also love to save up for a fun vacation & maybe even a new tattoo to help me further express myself. My friends, family, and houseplants mean a lot to me, and it is my honor to do my best to nurture them all.

Jena Irvin, MSW, LCSW

Founder & Clinical Director
ICEEFT Certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist (EFCT) & Supervisor-In-Training

I’m the first Certified Black Female Emotionally Focused Therapist (ICEEFT) in Georgia. As such, I'm committed to supporting & training other therapists of color towards certification in EFT. My therapeutic approach is very experiential! Experiential therapy encourages an examination of how inner and outer realities define each other. During therapy, I act as a process consultant who follows this moment-to-moment shaping of clients' reality. My areas of expertise include: anxiety, trauma, grief, women’s issues, couples of color, interracial couples, systemic racism and generational trauma.

I serve as the Owner & Clinical Director of Smyrna Couples Counseling.  I also offer Clinical Supervision for other therapists seeking licensure & certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).

  • I am a highly trained, experienced psychotherapist with a passion for helping people improve relationships within themselves and between others while also cultivating more joy into their lives. I am warm, kind and direct. And strive to be as empathic and non-judgemental as possible. I work hard to help clients understand themselves fully, learn from their experiences, and get the most out of therapy.

I believe that you are the expert of your life. My job is not to psychoanalyze you. My job is to be curious and to help you gain more understanding of yourself. A good therapist doesn’t claim to have all the answers for why you are the way you are although I may have some ideas that I will willingly share with you. When it comes to getting answers and more understanding, we will form hypotheses together and you will come to your own conclusions. I will facilitate and guide that process. My primary goal as a therapist is to help you heal yourself!

Trained & mentored by Michael Barnett, Ali Barbosa & Helene Igwebuike.

  • Education

I hold a Bachelors in Psychology from Georgia State University and a Masters in Social Work from Clark Atlanta University in 2012. Upon graduation, I trained at Heartwork Counseling Center completing my clinical residency until founding my solo private practice in 2015.

  • Modalities

I use an eclectic balance of interventions to include: EMDR, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Systems Therapy, Narrative Therapy and primarily Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).

  • Fun Facts About Me

I love spending quality time with family & friends! I also enjoy cooking, working out, traveling, reading, gardening, hiking, Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) or simply being outdoors in nature.
